A collaboration between Experience Hospitality founder Bobby Werhane and Chef Craig Wallen (Lupa Trattoria, Convivio), Spasso serves authentic Italian food utilizing high-quality local and specially imported ingredients. The varied menu includes rustic fare such as hand rolled pastas, house cured meats, and flawlessly baked breads. Spasso (Italian for "amusement") is the perfect spot to enjoy a convivial atmosphere coupled with delicious food, excellent service and an exciting, well-edited wine and cocktail program developed by Beverage Director TJ Siegal.
With the same style and sensibility that she delivered in the rustic ambiance of dell'anima and the contemporary elegance of L'artusi, Brooke Maples has created an inviting, warm space with modern touches for Spasso. Utilizing stark colors and minimalistic materials, such as imported leather covered dining chairs and hand polished granite topped bar creates a laid-back environment perfect for enjoying dinner or simply indulging in artisanal wine and beer at the bar. With an open kitchen design, the entire 65-seat restaurant is warmed by the scent of hearty Italian ingredients and the light clang of cooking.
The menu, created by Chef Wallen, features both traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, utilizing top quality ingredients and changing seasonally. Spasso's drink program is designed to complement the menu while also maintaining an approachable price point. The full bar features classic Italian cocktails and spirits, with a particular focus on limited production wines.
Now that the summer is here, guests can now enjoy the bustle of the West Village for Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner on our traditionally Italian caffe.
